JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Some Missouri teachers may be considering a career change. That's because the financial website WalletHub ranked Missouri as one of the worst states for teachers.
The Show-Me state ranked 44th among all states. As for other states in the KXCV/KRNW listening area, Kansas ranked 33rd, Iowa ranked 28th, and Nebraska ranked 21st.
WalletHub looked at 25 indicators for their list, including teachers' income growth potential, pupil-to-teacher ratios and public school spending.
The best state to teach for in the U.S. was Washington state, while the worst state teach for in the U.S. was New Hampshire.
